Apply In-Person:

1. Standby letter of credit is available in the National Bank of Ethiopia contact link
2. Applicant has to enter all necessary information in the application form.
3. All documents that are needed for this procedure to complete are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant must carry both photocopies and originals of all those documents while applying for this procedure.
5. Attach photocopies of documents along with the application form (whichever is necessary).
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per bank’s instructions.
7. If all necessary information is provided along with the needed documents, applicant can get their letter of credit within one month.
8. If the letter is not issued within a month, applicant can visit the bank to know status of their application.
