Apply In-Person:

1. Application for getting a medical visa is available in Ethiopian Immigration Nationality and Vital Events Agency – Link
2. Applicant must provide all information in the application form.
3. Applicant should carry all documents that are mentioned below:
   
   • Passport
   • Recent Passport Size Photographs
   • ID Proof
   • Address Proof
   • Medical Certificate
4. All documents must have both photocopies and originals while applying for the procedure.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
6. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all the above-mentioned procedures are followed properly by the applicant, visa will be provided within 2 weeks.
8. If application is refused or rejected, applicant has to start the visa procedure once again from the beginning.

Foreigners who are about to get treatment in a hospital of Ethiopia are eligible for getting a medical visa.

Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.

Valid for 1 year. Extension of validity can be done if the visa holder wishes to stay longer in Ethiopia for getting treatment.
