Apply In Person

1. To Apply for Verification of Road Tankers, the applicant has to approach Ethiopia Federal Transport Authority link
2. An application from will be provided to the applicant by the respective officer.
3. Applicant has to fill in all necessary details in the application form (Incomplete application forms are not accepted).
4. Make sure that the applicant has to prepare all the necessary documents (photocopies and originals) that are mentioned in “Required Documents” in the section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach the photocopies of the necessary documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit the application form to the respective officer. The authority will review the application.
7. Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request and submit the receipt as a proof of payment.
8. Upon the successful verification, the Road Tankers Verification Certificate will be issued within 15 days.

• The road tanker verification certificate is the necessary document to drive road tankers in Ethiopia. Without a verification certificate nobody can drive road tankers in Ethiopia, which is very offensive.
