Apply In-Person:

1. Application for Non-Governmental Organization Work Permit is available in the Ministry of Justice, Ethiopia contact link
2. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
3. Documents that are needed for this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Applicant should carry photocopies and originals of all the documents while applying for this procedure.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting the application form.
6. The fee for this procedure has to be paid as per authority’s request.
7. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, the registration will be issued within 30 days.
8. Applicant can collect their registration certificate by visiting the office.

Work Permit is valid for one year.

This document is necessary for any foreign individual to work in a Non-Governmental Organization in Ethiopia.

Only volunteers of the NGO can get a work permit and the NGO as a whole organization cannot get a work permit.

Please explain what are other uses of obtaining this document/certificate.
