Step II Financial implication

You should also be financially prepared because attending Gilder training school can be a very expensive endeavor. On the average, you might have to spend as much as $20,000 or $30,000 to cover your schooling. Step III require total Hours for both Flying training and theoretical training.

In order to be considered for the Glider pilot Licence, you'll need to have significant time logged actually in the air. 6 hours total time is the minimum required for flying training and 150 hours for theoretical knowledge training. That's quite a bit of flying time, you must be a the pilot in command, so training time counts here. Obviously, holding a PPL will put you closer to the requirement, though you will have to log additional hours regardless of the license that you hold.

Step IV require that you have powered Aircraft certificate.

Step V medical certificates for pilots.

All Glider Pilot applicants will have to undergo and pass a Class 1 medical examination. This can be done at any time,though a legal statement that one is fit to fly, is allowed for gliders. The United States does not require a medical certificate to operate a glider with a U.S. airman certificate.

Step VI apply to aviation English language proficiency.

• a pilot certificate issued by a Glider aviation organisation that administers glider activities
• undertaken at least six hours of flight time, including two hours solo, as well as 20 launches and 20 landings in a glider or motorized glider.

• Night flying, including takeoffs, landings, and VFR navigation.
• Emergency operations, including simulated aircraft and equipment malfunction.

It is eligible for citizens/residents of Ethiopia engaging in Air transport Business.
