Step 1 Pick the Application form from your College/institution affiliated to AKlilu Lemma Foundation, or Pick the Form directly from Aklilu Lemma Foundation Offices Located in the College of Natural Sciences; Freshman/Marshal Building (Room 106). You MUST have a reasonably good credit history that have no problem.
Step 2 Fill the form following each step by step up to the end, make sure you Emphasize any Particular/Outstanding aspect of good Conduct, Other Achievements Including Active Participation in Extra & Co-Curricular Activities and Community Services if any while filling your application form.
Step 3 The Next step is to Submit a Completed Application Form together with a recommendation letter from your college recommending you for the Aklilu Lemma merit Scholarship award, the completed application form should be submitted directly to ALF offices or Potential Applicants can Contact their Undergraduate Associate Deans, who are designated by the AAU & ALF governing body to serve as ALF representatives in their colleges.
Step 4 Upon receiving your Application the Associate dean will forward it to Aklilu Lemma head office for further processing by ALF Committees at different levels.Applicant will be shortlisted and selected by this committee and the selected Applicant will be forwarded to the ALF board of directors for endorsement.
Step 5 The Meritorious Students Will Be approved by ALF board Committees Successful Applicants Will Be Awarded a Certificate of Merit, a Monthly Stipend of Eth. Birr 300.00 during the Academic Year, and some Other additional Educational Support.As Always, ALF will strives to ensure Reasonable Participation of Deserving Female Students are also considered.
The Scholarship Award is Tenable for One Year and is Renewable until Graduation, provided the Awardee Maintains the CGPA Required for Renewal to be specified by committees at the time of selection.

Aklilu Lemma Scholarship Awards was introduced in Ethiopia by Aklilu Lemma (died 1997) who was an Ethiopian physician, He was awarded the Right Livelihood Award in 1989, jointly with Legesse Wolde-Yohannes, for their work and discoveries on how to prevent the parasitic disease bilharzia in Ethipian, Before his death in 1997,Aklilu Lemma and colleagues established the Aklilu Merit Award Scholarships Foundation to serve as an umbrella for all endod-related work, Benefiting the students of Addis Ababa University in the following Disciplines.
