Apply In Person

  1. To Apply For Certificate Of Competency for Wholesalers, the applicant has to approach the Maritime Affairs Authority link
  2. Applicant has to get the form from the respective office to get the wholesalers certificate.
  3. Applicant has to fill-in all the necessary details in the application form.
  4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. Submit the completed form and the necessary documents to the officer.
  6. Fee for this procedure has to paid as per the authority request.
  7. Once the process is completed, the certificate is given to the applicant within the stipulated processing period of time.

  • Certified copy of your permanent residence permit in case of a non- South African citizen
  • Certified copy of your firearm proficiency training certificate issued by an accredited training provider
  • Two passport-size colour photographs (with a neutral background) that are not older than three months
  • Certified proof of residence
  • Wholesaler license
  • Any other supporting documents.
