All citizens of El Salvador are eligible to apply for a passport.
The value of the Salvadoran passport in Central is $ 40.00 and the rest of the world is $ 60.00.
The ordinary passport is valid for five (5) years from the date of issue.

Citizens can not have multiple Salvadoran passports at the same time.
Salvadoran passports are issued to citizens of El Salvador to travel outside of the country. Passports are issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs or, if the citizen resides abroad, at the embassy.
