1.) Go to the Traffic Unit that represents your residence.

2.) Get paper folder wherein you shall keep all papers that will be given to you in doing your license procedures.

3.) Pay insurance fees at any of the insurance companies representative offices located at the same traffic unit. (Theres different fees for a 1, 2, or 3-years license)

4.) Go to the post-office at the traffic unit to get form which you will need to fill up, before going to the checking unit where you will get the cars chassis and motor number inspected.

5.) Go to the police officer at the same Traffic Unit, not far from the technical checking unit, to sign the license papers you bought prior having your car inspected.

6.) After that go to the checking unit where the technician will inspect the cars chassis and motor number once cleared he will sign the paper.

7.) Hand your folder with all the papers you have acquired to one of the traffic unit employees who will give you a paper to pay your car tax.

8.) After this you'll also need to pay plate's fee.

1.) Car Specifications Certificate listing specifications of the vehicle which will indicate whether the car is fully imported or a local production which will determine the amount of registry fees.

2.) Traffic Tickets Clearance Certificate certifying that the previous owner of the car has fully paid for all offences, if he has committed any, in the course of his ownership of the car.

2.) Three copies of the old car license.

3.) Three copies of your ID Card.

Egyptian Vehicle Registration Number plates are license plates used for official identification purposes for motor vehicles in Egypt.

The new vehicle registration plates, are rectangular in shape and made of aluminum. The top part has the word "Egypt" in English and Arabic in black font on backgrounds of different colors depending on the type of license the vehicle is given.
