• Issue a police statement that the passport is lost
• Visit your Ministry of Interior's Travel Documents, Immigration and Nationality Administration (TDINA) bureau
• Fill the machine-readable application no. 29 with the requested information
• Present the form along with the required documents to the responsible officer
• Pay the fee
• You will receive the passport three working days after submitting the application.

The Egyptian Machine-Readable Passport (MPR) is issued to Egyptian Citizens for a period of 7 years. The holder of the passport should apply in person.

Egyptian passports are issued to nationals of Egypt for the purpose of international travel. Besides serving as a proof of Egyptian citizenship, they facilitate the process of securing assistance from Egyptian consular officials abroad if needed.

In case your passport was stolen or lost, you must issue a signed police statement that the passport is lost.

Please note that whoever holds more than one valid passport is subjected be punished by imprisonment for a time no less than three months and no more than one year, and/or paying a fine of no less than 1,000 EGP and no more than 5,000 EGP.
