Apply In-Person:

1. To Renewal of Money Remittance License in person, the applicant has to approach the Central Bank of Egypt Contact link
2. Application form for renewal of banking business license is available in Central Bank of Egypt.
3. Applicant should obtain the application form from Central Bank of Egypt.
4. The applicant should enter all the details in the application form.
5. Information related to the Central Bank of Egypt and the License authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
7. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
8. The completed application should be submit to the respective office.
9. After submission, the application and other documents will be forwarded for examination and verification processes.
10. Once the verification and validation processes are over, the application will be approved and the officials will proceed to take required steps for renewal of the license.
11. When the document is ready to be collected, the applicant will be notified by the office and the applicant can collect it by any applicable means.
12. The Processing time for this procedure is 20 to 25 working days.

• Any Money Remittance holder in Egypt, whose license is about to expire but he/she wants to extend the license period, can apply.

• A non-refundable application fee of EGP2,000.

• The license granted shall remain valid unless suspended or revoked by the Authority.

• The Authority may require an applicant to supply such further information as it considers necessary in relation to the application.
• A license is only granted if the applicant meets and continues to meet such minimum financial and other requirements as may be prescribed by the Authority.
• The Authority may grant a license to such conditions or restrictions as it thinks fit and the Authority may, at any time by written notice to a license holder, vary any condition or restriction or impose further conditions or restrictions.
