Apply In-Person:

1. To Renewal of Airline Operating Permit in person, the applicant has to approach the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority.
2. The address and contact details of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA) can be found in the following Contact link.
3. Visit the ECAA office with an application letter made in writing and duly signed by a person authorized by the applicant to request for renewal of Air Transport License.
4. Obtain an application form for renewing an Air Transport License from the relevant department.
5. Make sure that you have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. Complete the form as required with relevant details under respective sections. After completing the application form, attach the required documents with the completed form.
7. Pay the required non-refundable processing fee to the Authority as stipulated and attach the receipt of payment with the application form.
8. Also, the applicant will be required to liaise with the Airport Service Providers and/ regarding approval of its home or operational base.
9. Then, proceed to submit the application package to the Director General at the office in person for further processes.
10. After submission, the completed form and corresponding documents will be put into further verification and validation processes.
11. Once all the processes are completed, the authorities will make the necessary steps for the renewed license issuance process.
12. The processing time for this procedure is 3 months.

• The applicant must have paid all the required fees, charges, fares and tariffs as stipulated by the ECAA.

• The fees required are EGP 150,0000.

• The license is valid for 3 years.

• The Authority if satisfied that the applicant has met and complied with the requirements for the grant or renewal of an Airline Operating permit, shall grant or renew the permit. An AOP not utilized at the expiration of its validity period shall not be renewed by the Authority, notwithstanding, the holder of the AOP may apply for a fresh issuance.
• The Authority may vary, suspend or cancel/revoke an Airline Operating permit if the holder of the AOP contravenes any of the provisions of the Civil Aviation Act, these regulations, rules, and order made thereunder, and any such condition subject to which the AOP was granted.
