Apply In-Person:

1. To Renewal Registration of Self-Help Group or Community Projects in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Social Solidarity link
2. Applicants must obtain the application form from the relevant department to Renewal of Registration of Self-Help Group or Community Projects.
3. Applicants should read carefully the application form, as all the details must be filled in accurately for the form to be considered complete. The form will ask for basic information about their organization, including its name and address, the names and titles of the members, and a description of its activities.
4. The applicant must gather the necessary documents for their Self-Help Group or Community Projects, such as a copy of the organization's constitution, copies of the identification documents of all the members, a certificate of incorporation and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Applicants should attach photocopies of the necessary documents to the application form before submitting it at the office.
6. Applicants should submit the form to the relevant government department, which could be the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, or the Ministry of Justice, depending on the type of organization.
7. Applicants should wait for the renewal registration to be approved, which can take up to six months.
8. During this time, the government will review all the documents, and may also conduct a site visit to assess the organization's operations.
9. Once the application is approved, the applicant will be notified through their contact details, and they must pay the prescribed Renewal Registration of Self-Help Group or Community Projects fees and annual fees within three to four weeks.
10. Upon payment, a renewal Registration of Community Based Organization will be issued to the applicant, thereby renewing the existing registration.

To be eligible for Renewal Registration of Self-Help Group or Community Projects in Egypt, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must be a registered Self-Help Group or Community Project in Egypt.
• The applicant must have been active for at least one year prior to the renewal application.

• Wait for the renewal to be approved. This process can take several weeks depending on the local government office and the complexity of the renewal request.
• Once approved, the renewal will be added to the records of the Self-Help Group or Community Project.

• This ensures that the services of these groups are meaningful and beneficial to the communities in which they operate.

• A group should be registered in the Sub- County it resides. The registration offices are in all sub-counties in the districts around the country.
• If three months after submitting a programmer for self-help projects the county chief is not notified by the district planning committee to the contrary, he or she may proceed to carry out, or authorize the sub county chief or chiefs to carry out, the projects listed in the programmer.
• Except that no projects shall be commenced in respect of which there is specified in the programmer the need for financial assistance from the Government or in respect of which a planning committee has notified the county chief that such assistance shall be required or
• In respect of which any other assistance from the Government has either been requested in the programmer or the county chief has been notified by a planning committee that such assistance shall be required, and no assurance of such assistance has been given to the chief by the appropriate department of the Government.
