Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Compliance Certificates for Ship, the applicant ha to approach the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety (EAFMS). contact link
2. The application form must be obtained from the authorities in the EAFMS office.
3. Make sure that you have all the documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
4. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant form while submitting it at the office.
6. The application form should be filled with necessary details, and along with the Safe Operational Plan and Safety Standards, it should be submitted to the Authority of Egypt.
7. The CEO will verify the application, and further processing of inspection and Annual verification will be made.
8. The final approval will be made by the CEO. Finally, the Certificate will be issued to the application by the CEO.
9. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
10. The processing time for this procedure will be intimated by the authorities in the EAFMS office.

• In order to operate a Jet Ski or Recreational Boat in Egypt, the operator must get the approval and Compliance Certificate from the CEO of Egypt.
