Egypt - Getting Electricity Connection in Rural Areas

Apply In-Person

  1. To Getting Electricity Connection in Rural Areas in person, the applicant should contact the Ministry of Electricity and Energy. Contact link
  2. Applicant approach the electricity office and applicant must request for new electricity connection, also, applicant get their application form for new electricity connection.
  3. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.( Both photocopies and originals)
  4. Please refer to the fees details in the “Fees” section of this page.
  5. The Applications form should be completed and submitted to the customer service representative.
  6. After the submission of the application form, an inspection team will visit and survey the site for providing quotation and estimate.
  7. If the necessary conditions are satisfied, the quotation for the cost of electricity supply to the applicant’s premises will be ready within 3 days, if a supply line already exists or 5 working days if the service connection requires a supply line extension or up to 2 poles.
  8. After the full payment of quotation by the prospective customer, the electricity connection will be made within 3 or 5 days.
