Apply In-Person:

1. To Get General Power of Attorney of Taxes, the applicant must approach the Ministry of Justice Contact link
2. The applicant has to purchase stamp papers as per the amount obtained based on the land value to complete the draft of the lease deed.
3. The stamp paper should be given to the officer to type the lease deed.
4. Applicant must possess the documents mentioned in the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Register the agreement in the applicant district sub-registrar office. Both parties and witnesses should reach the office of the Registrar on the scheduled date and time.
6. The signature of the witness is useful for evidentiality purposes.
7. Pay the registration fee as mentioned in the "Fees" section given on the page.
8. After verification by the Sub-Registrar, once the registration is complete.
9. The applicant may obtain the General Power of Attorney of Taxes from the office of the Sub-Registrar.
10. This process at Registrar's Office is completed on the same day (in case of any unavoidable circumstances it may happen on the next working day)

• Electricity Bill OR Tax Receipt of the Property (if POA is related to some property).

• Agent must be of legal age and mentally competent to execute such a document.

• The fees for this procedure are 20 pounds + a relative fee based on the value and duration of half a percent, up to 10 pounds.

• A POA always become null and void upon death of principal or on the expiration date specified in the document.
