Egypt - Export Wildlife Specimen


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Export Wildlife Specimen in person, the applicant has to approach the MSD Animal Health Office.
  2. Address and contact details can be found in the following Contact link.
  3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
  4. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form before submitting it.
  5. Applicant should make sure to carry photocopies and originals of all documents needed for this procedure to complete.
  6. Documents that are needed for completing this procedure are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.
  7. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  8. Applicant should make sure to attach photocopies of necessary documents along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
  9. If all above-mentioned procedures were followed properly, applicant can get their license within 21 days.
  10. Applicant can get the license from the office after getting notification from concerned authorities.
  11. If there is no information about the application even after 21 days, applicant can visit the office to know status of their application.

Need for the Document

  • Wildlife specimen Import Permit is issued under Section 40 of the Wildlife (Egypt wildlife Act).Individuals or organizations wishing to export or import wildlife specimens will be required to make an application to the Director, Egypt Authority using official forms.

The Egypt Ministry of Trade and Industry holds the power to provide permission for exporting a wildlife specimen from Egypt to any other country.
