Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for a visa on arrival, the applicant needs to approach the immigration office at the airport.
2. The applicant must stand in the queue at the relevant visa desk at the airport before heading to the immigration office.
3. The visa on arrival is issued to the applicant once the applicant arrives in Egypt.
4. Later the applicant must pay the required fees.
5. The applicant will receive the visa sticker to stick to their passport.
6. Officers from the Egyptian border force will grant the visa and apply a visa sticker to a blank page in the traveller’s passport.
7. Once the visa on arrival is granted to the applicant it will allow international travellers to stay in Egypt for up to 30 days. The visa on arrival is also a single-entry visa.

The cost of the Egyptian visa on arrival is 25 USD. The applicant is required to pay only in US dollars and not in other currency. Also the applicant is required to pay in cash only, as the credit and debit cards are not allowed.

The visa is valid for 30 days.

• The Egyptian visa on arrival has been available to eligible tourists for years and has not been discontinued. There are currently 46 countries whose citizens can apply for a visa on arrival for Egypt.
• The passport used to enter Egypt must include at least 2 blank pages — as well as being valid for at least 6 months.
• The Egyptian visa on arrival is available at several airports and other entry points throughout the country, with the Egypt visa on arrival at Cairo Airport and the visa on arrival at Hurghada Airport being two of the most popular options.
• The process of obtaining an Egypt visa on arrival for US citizens is the same as that for EU passport holders and nationals of other eligible countries.
