Egypt - Apply for National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Benefits


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Benefits in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Social Solidarity Department.
  2. Address and contact details can be found in the following link
  3. Applicant must obtain the application form from the Ministry of Social Solidarity Department.
  4. Applicant must provide all necessary information in the application form.
  5. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page.( Both photocopies and originals)
  6. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the application form while submitting it at the office.
  7. The duly filled form must be attached with the supporting documents and submitted to theMinistry of Social Solidarity.
  8. There is no fee for this procedure. However, a minimum amount is required for activation of the card.
  9. If all above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the national social security (NSSF) Benefits will be provided within 72 hours.
  10. Applicant can collect their document by visiting the office after 72 hours or after getting a confirmation email or SMS from concerned authorities.
  11. If there is no information related to fund is provided to the applicant within a week, they can visit the office to know status of their application.

Eligibility

  • An individual who is 18 years of age.
  • A self- employed person, who wishes to become a member of the Fund, may register as a voluntary member.
  • Every employer should register with the fund as a contributing employer and shall register his employee or employees, as members of the Fund.

  • There is no fee for this procedure.




Validity

  • Registration remains valid as long as contributions are made.

  • Details of next of kin (Parent’s, Spouses and Children)

  • Individuals who are registered are provided with basic financial security benefits upon retirement from work.




Information which might help

  • The maximum amount that the applicant will get is R1 890 per month. If the applicant is older than 75 years, you will get R1 910.
