Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Motor Vehicle Registration in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Transportation Contact link.
2. Information related to the respective authority can be obtained from the “Office locations and contacts” section of this page.
3. Once a vehicle is imported clearing agents shall proceed with the clearance and first-time registration procedures online at the authority.
4. The applicant has to make sure that he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant form while submitting it at the office.
6. Application fee details shall be provided by the concerned licensing officer.
7. All agents have unique login identifications (numbers) which will enable them to do this authority.
8. Upon fulfilment of necessary requirements online by the agent, the system generates a unique acknowledgement number to the clearing agent.
9. The same number is copied and sent to the client who in this cases the owner of the vehicle being registered.
10. The acknowledgement number is used to track the vehicle registration task until it is approved,
11. When registration application is approved, an auto generated electronic mail is sent to the email address specified for the agent with a copy to the associated company, organization, individual or owner.
12. This will enable both the clearing agent and the motor vehicle owners know the status of a cars registration.
13. After subsequent stages, the process is completed in less than 24 hours subject to all documents being in proper order.
14. Thereafter, a registration book and a number are issued.

• Insurance certificate.
• Certificate of Origin.
• Permits (if necessary).
• Original and translated certificates of cancellation or permanent export.
• Photocopy of importer Identity Cards or Passport.

• Any registered vehicle is required to possess a registration certificate legally obtained from the Federal Road Safety Corps of Egypt.

• The Registration Book is issued to the car owner later by the Registrar. However, if the motor vehicle is bought on credit, the Registration Book will show joint owners and it will be released to the financier who will retain it until the loan is repaid. The transfer will then be affected to remove joint ownership. The dealer will obtain from the vehicle buyer the necessary information and documents for the motor vehicle registration.
