How to apply

1. Contact the nearest Djibouti embassy or consult office in-person or by phone and request to speak with the Consular Officer with a request to register status abroad.
2. You will be required, send a fax or email of your address and contacts in host country and the particulars of 'Person to contact in case of emergency'. In case you are registering via a phone.
3. If you are registering in person you will be required to verbally give out the required information at the embassy authorized official, who will then enter the information into their data base system.
4. Note that some embassy offers online registration process, visit the Djibouti embassy website portal of your host country and register if available.

• Registration is valid as long as you are still residing in that specific foreign country

• It is advised that all Djiboutian travelling abroad, whether on short- or long-term basis, register with the nearest Djibouti Mission abroad. This is important in case of emergency you to receive emails about events and announcement. Or if you wish to apply for extend consular services.
