How to apply

1. Visit the General Peltier Hospital at Avenue du Maréchal, approach the service desk and express your interest.
2. Pay the required medical test examination fees.
3. You will then be examined by a medical physician to determine whether you have the physical and mental capability to drive a motor vehicle safely.
4. If the medical physician is satisfied with his/her findings, you will be issued with a medical certificate immediately.

• Service is open to all

• Cost of medical certificate: 5000 DJF

• For category C license: the medical certificate is valid for a maximum period of 5 years
• For the category D license: the medical certificate is valid for a maximum period of two years for drivers under the age of 45 years and one year for drivers over 45 years of age.

A medical certificate is issued with a medical physician attesting that the candidate is free from ailments incompatible with the issuance of a driving license and able to drive the vehicle. the category for which he / she is applying for the permit.
