How to apply

1. You should visit the Ministry of Housing, Town planning and environment, Department of housing and town planning office near you and express your interest.
2. Submit the request letter for Backfill permit along with the supporting documents (listed below under "Required Documents") to the attending official for verification and processing.
3. An inspection will be carried out on the site by the department.
4. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the documents are in order you will be issued with the backfill permit within 3 working days.

Backfill permit is issued to authorize the digging up large quantity of soil from the ground, the permit is issued to ensure protection against nuisance harvesting/digging of soil, for the preservation of landscapes or because of the existence of risks such as floods, collapse or collapse.
