How to Apply
In Djibouti Application

1. You should visit the Directorate of Immigration and General Information office near you and obtain the application form or click the link below to download it Link
2. Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents (listed below under "Required Documents") to the immigration office for verification and processing.
3. Pay the application fees.
4. You will then have your digital photo and fingerprints taken on site by an officer and then be issued with a receipt/acknowledge slip
5. After lodging the application, the passport will be ready for collection within 3 working days and you should bring the receipt/acknowledge slip and proof of identification when collecting the passport.
   
   

Abroad application

1. You should consult with the Djibouti embassy or consulate near you on the application process and requirement as their differ between embassies
2. Application form can be obtained from the embassy or download it via the embassy website if available for making the application.

• Accurate filed application form
• Original and copy of National identification card.
• Original Birth certificate
• 2 coloured passport photos (35x45 mm)
• For minors: birth certificate and parental authorization
• Copy of the identity documents of the parents.
• Students: a certificate of education
• Employees and civil servants: a work certificate.

• For the 32-page passport, the value is 15,000 (fifteen miles) Djibouti Francs. (in Djibouti)
• For the 48-page passport, the value is 20,000 (twenty miles) Djibouti Francs. (in Djibouti)
• Application fees varies within different embassies, please consult with the embassy/consulate first.

• Validity period of 5 years
