How to Apply

1. You should visit the Caisse Nationale de la Sécurité Sociale (CNSS) office and express your interest at the service desk.
2. Fill out the application form, attach the supporting documents (listed below under "Required Documents") and submit them to the attending official for verification and processing.
3. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the documents are in order, you will be notified of the outcome and given further instruction.

General requirements

• Clear and legible copy of the National Identity Card (CIN) in support of the original
• Attendance at work certificate (employment certificate) signed by the employer
• Completed form
• Children's birth certificate extract
• Apprenticeship contract for children aged 15 to 18 and under
• Certificate of education for those over 15 and under 21

For employed women, it is necessary to supplement these

• Certificate of responsibility
• Divorce certificate
• Death certificate
• Spouse's unemployment certificate

• Father of the family
• The employed woman who looks after the children
• Divorcee
• Widow
• Wife whose husband is unemployed
• Single mother

• No fees associate with the service

• The beneficiary of this allowance is entitled to a benefit of 1400 DJF per month and per child, up to a limit of six children.
• This service (benefit) is paid quarterly at the CNSS counters

• The Family Allowance is a benefit paid to employees and the like caring for one or more children (legitimate, natural and adoptive) residing in the Republic of Djibouti (maximum six children).
