How to apply

1. You should write a handwritten and signed request letter address to the directorate of Mine and Road safety.
2. Visit the Ministry of equipment and transport, Directorate of Mines and Road Safety office near you and approach the service desk and express your interest.
3. Submit the request letter and the supporting document (listed below under “Required Documents”) to the attending official for verification and processing.
4. Pay the required fees, upon which you will be issued with a receipt/acknowledgement slip.
5. If the authorized official/register is satisfied that all the documents are in order you will be issued with the certificate of non-pledge within 1 working day.

• Application fees: 1 stamp worth 1000 DJF

• The certificate of no pledge is an administrative document which proves that the vehicle is not pledged and that therefore nothing prevents its sale.
