This procedure provides information on how you can apply for mobile street vending permit in Denmark.
All types of businesses may use mobile street vendors to sell daily commodities (consumable goods such as food and beverages, washing powder etc.). However, mobile street vendors are not allowed to sell tobacco, alcohol, soft drinks, chocolates and sweets.
Furthermore, mobile street vendors are allowed to sell specialty goods (such as clothes, shoes, jewelry). However, these goods may not be sold in town centres or district centres, unless the sale of goods is related to an event of short-term nature.
Mobile street vendors must register at indberet.virk.dk at least 2 days before commencement of sales.
You can expect to get a permit if your product range can be sold as itinerant sale according to Erhvervsstyrelsen. If you sell food, it is also compulsory to have a permit from Fdevarestyrelsen (the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration). If you change your product range, you must inform the authorities about this.
You will need to carry the licence with you at all times and it must be visible on the vehicle.
