Apply In-Person:

1. The Issue of plumbing licenses to qualified persons is governed by concerned “Water Supply and Sewerage Board” for the respective state. In some states the corporation or general administration department itself act as the board.
2. In need of requirement applications will be invited by the board for grant of license to eligible candidates.
3. Applicant shall approach their area board engineer’s office to apply.

5. Go to the respective office and consult with authority for any updated requirements to apply.
6. Get the application form or write as advised on an A4 sheet to apply.
7. Please submit the completed application along with required document as per our required document section.
8. Once the submitted details are in place, eligible applicant will be asked to pay security deposit, license fees and other charges. Please pay as applicable and get the receipt.
9. This application will be processed internally. Applicant will get notification on their registered mobile number which they mentioned on the application while applying.
10. Please follow the department notification for further process to get the license.

• License of plumbers shall be permitted to carry out Plumbing works for Sewerage/ water supply installations in the categories of buildings as per board norms.
• Plumber license is required by an individual to take up plumbing assignments that require such licenced person to commission.
• Government tender for plumbing work contract requires licensed plumber to quote.

• Candidate may be asked to appear for a written exam if required. The details can be availed with the respective board office.
• The objective of the water supply department - Municipal Corporation is to provide uninterrupted water supply to the residents.
• Beware – Law is strict against those who dodge to follow the amendments.
