Procedure
Apply via Agent
Apply In-Person:
- The request for water disconnection can be made in the prescribed application form to the “Assistant engineer” of your local water supply office.
- Go to the water supply office in your area.

- Collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.

- Complete the application form. Attach the entire required document as per our “required document” section and present it to the designated authority.
- This application and attached documents will be checked. If all are in place, applicant will be advised to pay disconnection fees.
- Please pay the advised fees at the respective counter and obtain the receipt.
- Now submit your application for disconnection along with the remittance of application fee, disconnection fee and all dues if any to the designated authority in two sets. (second set will be returned with signature of the receiving authority)
- Once the application is received, authorities will register the request into the register.
- Applicant will get acknowledgment for the submitted application. Please keep it safe for future reference.
- This application will be processed internally. Department staff will disconnect the service as notified.
- Note:
- Water connections can be disconnected temporarily for a minimum period(3 months) and a maximum period (12 months) as per the request of the consumers
Apply through Centres:
- To disconnect a water connection in Daman & Diu, the applicant shall visit the nearest CSC/Tehsil Centre. Find contacts to CSC centres in the link provided:Link
- Procure the mandatory application form from the concerned centre and fill it up with the necessary details required for the disconnection.
- Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submission.
- Provide authorized signatory and photograph, wherever applicable.
- Make the requisite payment required for the process (if applicable).
- Now, submit the application to the office of the concerned centre and obtain the acknowledgement slip.
- After successful verification, the water connection will be disconnected by the concerned authority.

- Last payment paid receipt.

Eligibility
- A valid consumer
- All the payments are paid up to date.
Fees
- Fees/charges should be paid as applicable and as advised by the authorities in terms of area.
Validity
- As long as the disconnection is not going to be permanent, the disconnection will be valid for the requested period after which consumer shall follow the department for reconnection.

Need for the Document
- A consumer shall apply for temporary disconnection or permanent disconnection of water in case if they do not live there anymore.
- In case of non-payment of bill, consecutively for 2 (two) months or as specified by the department water supply connection will be disconnected.
- Beware – Law is strict against those who dodge to follow the amendments.
