Apply Online

1. To Apply for Senior Citizen Certificate, the applicant has to make their application online via the following link – link
2. The applicant must click “Senior Citizen Identity Card.”
3. Next the applicant must click “Login” and enter user name and password.
4. If the applicant is a new user the applicant must click “Register” and create an account then login.
5. Next the applicant must fill in application form with all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
6. Then the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. Review and submit the application.
8. Then applicant must pay the prescribed fee if requested.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
11. The authority will assess the application, once the applicant meets all the requirements the authority will issue the license.
12. This entire process can be completed within 10 – 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for the senior citizen certificate, please approach the concerned Deputy Secretary (Social Welfare) office.

3. Please go to the respective office to get details for applying and also the application form. If required, applicant has to write application in a plain A4 sheet.
4. Make sure that you have all the proper documents mentioned in the “Required documents” section below.
5. Submit the completed form along with the documents to the concerned authority.
6. This application will be processed internally. Verification of submitted documents will also be carried.
7. After successful completion, Certificate will be delivered to the applicant through postal or in person as per the applicable norms.
8. The whole process of issuing the Senior Citizen Certificate will take 10 to 15 working days.

Get the senior citizen certificate from the concerned circle officer or DC office.

Following are the required information to apply for the senior citizen certificate

• Age of the applicant
• Ration card details

• The Government of India provides facilities for citizens above the age of 60 years. In order to avail those facilities one has to get the certificate.
• The senior citizen certificate will allow the holder to receive numerous benefits like discounts in Railways, Flights and other benefits from the government.

• Without cross signature(half on paper and half on photograph) and signature on undertaking, the application will be rejected
• One has to produce the card to prove the authorities whenever asked for. So, this card must be carried always.

NOTE : It is a punishable offense to try with fraudulent documents to get a Senior citizen certificate
