Daman and Diu - Apply for Aadhaar Card (UID)


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. To apply for Aadhaar Card, the applicant shall approach the enrolment centres, collector's office or any aadhaar centre as may be found in the list provided:Link.
  2. Procure the application form mandatory for applying and fill it up with necessary details as requested.
  3. Provide photographs and authorized signatory wherever applicable.
  4. Make sure to attach all the "Required Documents" along with the application form before submitting.
  5. Now submit the completed application to the concerned office.
  6. An acknowledgement slip will be given to the applicant which shall be kept safe for future reference.
  7. After that, a verification process will take place and the officer-in-charge will inspect all the necessary documents.
  8. The applicant will be asked to get a biometric scan for finger and eye iris.
  9. On satisfactory verification, a duplicate aadhaar card will be issued for the applicant by the registering authority.
  10. The applicant is required to collect the document from the concerned office by showing the acknowledgement slip.

Through Enrolment centres:

  1. Applicant has to locate an enrolment centre to apply. Online link for enrolment centre : Centre link
  2. Book an Appointment for processing. Link for appointment : link for appointment
  3. With / without online appointment, applicant has to physically go to the AADHAAR card enrolment centre with required documents.
  4. Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
  5. Authority will process the details online as per the documents provided (operator would check whether this data is already available through different application)
  6. Applicant will be asked to get biometric scanning for finger print followed by Iris scanning and then Photograph session to complete the requirement for processing.
  7. Upon completion of above steps, Applicant will be issued with an acknowledgement receipt for future reference and the request will be processed further.

  • Contact local bank branch to get the details of designated Bank branches for Aadhaar Enrolment in their area.

    • Passport / PAN / Ration card / Driving License
  • Documents that serve as proof of Address (any one of the following)
    • Passport / Bank Statement / Ration card / Voter ID / Driving License / Electricity bill /
  • Documents that serve as proof of Date of Birth (any one of the following)
    • Birth Certificate, Mark sheet issued by any Government Board or University, PAN card, etc.

Need for the Document

  • Aadhaar card is an initiative by the government to organize citizen.
  • Unique Identification Authority of India, issues this card. It is a 12 digit identity contains combination of numbers and alphabets.
  • Aadhaar card is mandatory in opening bank account.
  • Aadhaar card is useful in most of the application for obtaining voter id, ration card, pan card, Land registration, Driving license, Vehicle registration and more.
  • If in case your Aadhaar card is lost / damaged / misplaced, one has to apply for duplicate Aadhaar card
