  1. Fill in the application form
  2. Submit form along with all the required documents.

For registration in the Electoral List and issuance of Voting Card

  • Completed application form for registration in the Electoral List.
  • Photograph of the applicant (if the applicant presents himself personally, he may be photographed free of charge without having to produce a photograph).
  • Certification from the President of the Community of the area where the voter resides. In case he presents himself personally no certification is needed.
  • For a person to be regarded as member of a religious group (Latin Maronite, Armenian) and the Electoral List to be brought up to date accordingly a certificate from his Church is required.

Eligibility

To be included in the Electoral List and obtain a Voting Card the applicant has to be a Cypriot citizen who has attained the age of 18 and a permanent resident of Cyprus in the last six months before the submission of the application. Regarding Cypriots by origin who acquire the Cypriot citizenship no six-month period is required for the submission of an application.

Voting Cards are issued both by the Civil Registry and Migration Department and by the local Offices of the District Administrations.

The Voting Cards of new voters, whose names are included in the supplementary Electoral List from time to time which is drawn up every three months, are issued directly by the Offices of the District Administrations after the Electoral List has been displayed and inspected for possible objections by every interested person.

Need for the Document

An electoral list includes the names of registered voters in an area. It is the responsibility of the eligible voters to submit their names to be included in the list. The electoral list is drawn up every three months, on January 2nd, April 2nd, July 2nd and October 2nd.
