Application Process

Step two: Follow the link to enter the Hubei health professionals network ( www.hbwsrc.net , hereinafter referred to as the provincial network) to upload the scanned copy relevant certificates and qualifications certified materials.

The third step: the scene confirmed. Candidates who "application form", identity cards, review the relevant original certificate, the scene confirmed, payment, complete the registration.

The law requires all newly graduated medical students to sit the National Medical Licensing Examination (NMLE) regulated by the National Medical Examination Center (NMEC) in order to be able to register with the local regulatory body.

The law also requires that to be eligible to sit the exam, one student should have completed one years internship after obtaining his/her primary medical qualification (i.e. Bachelor of Medicine). The exam is a two part exam which includes a Clinical Skill (CS) test and a General Written (GW) test. The CS test consists of many stations, candidates must pass the CS test in order to sit for the GW test. The GW test consists of 4 units, candidates have 2.5 hours for each unit, running for 2 days. The CS is held in July, followed by GW in September each year.

National Medical Examination Center NMEC is responsible for National Medical Licensing Examination (NMLE) on guideline development, item development, test administration, scoring, standard setting, psychometric analysis and information technology application. In 1998, China enacted her Law on Licensed Physician and the nationwide NMLE. NMLE is divided into a Clinical Skill test (CS) and a General Written test (GW). Only by passing CS can candidates apply for GW. Candidates are not permitted to practice medicine until they have passed both tests in the same year and applied for license registration. CS usually takes place in July and GW in September.

National Medical Examination Center (NMEC) was founded in 1985 and lies on the Kunyu River in Haidian District, Beijing. Being an affiliated unit to Ministry of Health, NMEC serves as the examination organization in the health field and it is one of the earliest professional test centers in the whole country. NMEC holds approximately 40 staff and is dedicated in ensuring peoples health with high quality tests.

Main Responsibilities

• To administrate, under the supervision of Ministry of Health and its Medical Licensing Examination Council, various national medical examinations according to related laws, regulations and rules.
• To be in charge of structure design, item development, data management and science research for administrated examinations.
• To carry out medical qualification tests for foreigners applying work in the health field.
• To participate in institutional construction, standard establishment and policy research of medical tests, and to provide necessary guidance for provincial medical examination organizations.
• To organize and coordinate scientific research, staff training, reference book compilation and item bank construction for national medical tests.
• To organize national and international academic exchange and cooperation in medical examination field.
• To provide test service for health authorities of various levels.
• To provide test service authorized by organizations both at home and abroad.

Other service includes Medical Postgraduate Entrance Examination, Training and Assessment for Blood Picking and Supplying Staff, National Unified Foreign Language Ability Test for Medical Doctors, National Foreign Language Proficiency Test in Health Field (LPT), English Test for Reserved Personnel of International Organizations and Basic Knowledge Test for International Ophthalmology.

Only persons with a medical license bestowed either by a specified government-approved professional association or a government agency are authorized to practice medicine. Licenses are not granted automatically to all people with medical degrees.

"Medical Licensing Examination eligibility rules (2014 edition)" is based on "People's Republic of China on Medical Practitioners" and the relevant provisions of the qualification requirements in recent years, combined with the implementation process in some cases, after extensive plan
