1. Go to any of the offices of the Civil Registry.
2. Apply to make the change.
3. Complete the application form.
4. Submit documents as appropriate and cancel the corresponding fee.

• Births in Chile must be registered to the appropriate Civil Registry and Identification where the birth has occurred.
• Applicants for birth enrollment and registration must go to the office with the outlined documents.
• A RUN or National Single Role will be assigned to a person who wishes to obtain a birth certificate. The RUN will also be the number of their identity card when requested.
