Chhattisgarh - Complaint about Faulty Electricity Meter


Procedure

Apply In-Person:

  1. Approach the Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) to register your complaint regarding the faulty electricity meter.
  2. Refer to the “Office Locations & Contacts” section in this procedure to see the respective address and contact details.
  3. Record the complaint according to the office guidelines.
  4. Once the complaint is recorded the consumer will be provided with an acknowledgement which needs to be kept safe until further notice.
  5. The request will be taken care of by the respective authority.
  6. A technician will visit on the address mentioned in the application to inspect the electricity meter.
  7. If the electricity meter is found faulty, it is removed and taken to the department lab for checking.
  8. The department will inform to the consumer to either collect the repaired meter or the replaced meter until which the consumer needs to wait until further notice from the department.
  9. The consumer must follow the department notice and regulations to get the electricity meter fixed.



Apply Online:

  1. To Complaint about Faulty Electricity Meter, the applicant shall visit the website in the link provided:Link
  2. Now click on the “Consumer Login” option to proceed.
  3. After login,enter the login credentials and click on “Submit”.
  4. The applicant shall now click on the “Register an Electricity Complaint” option under the “Online Application” section.
  5. Now select BP Number and “Submit” to get access to consumer related details.
  6. The applicant is required to provide all the necessary details in the appropriate section.
  7. Now the applicant shall upload scanned copies of all the "Required Documents" and click “Submit”.
  8. Once the documents are uploaded, provide the mobile number and enter the received OTP.
  9. Click on “View” button under “Status” section to view the application.

  • Copy of card issued by electricity board
  • Photo of the consumer/applicant
  • Scan Aadhaar card
