2. Make sure you have completed application form for Renew Private Service Vehicle Permit.
   Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees

4. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
5. After checking the vehicle for its correctness and other appropriate requirements the application will be processed. Important verifications for the permit includes Vehicle condition, seating arrangements etc., will be carried by authorities.

Apply Online:

1. Visit the following portal: online portal.
2. Select the “Permit Online” option under “Other Online Services”.
3. Select “Chandigarh” in the drop down menu and click “proceed”.
4. Please follow the screen and fill in prompted details to process the online procedure.
5. Upload required documents and take printouts of acknowledgement.
6. On the appointment date, go to the RTO office before 11:30 am and submit the documents to the officer at the office. The officer will mark the amount needed to be paid at the respective counter.
7. Pay the fees and submit the document at the counter.
8. Authorities will process the application further and the applicant will get the renewal in a stipulated period of time.
   
   

Apply through Centres:

1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following link to locate the centre according to the respective district: link.
2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
3. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
4. The operator will process the application online.
5. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
6. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an SMS.
7. If verified, the certificate will be hand delivered or sent through post to the address mentioned while applying in a stipulated period of time.

• Private Service Vehicle Permits are issued to institutions that operate the vehicle for their own use.
• This permit needs to be renewed before it lapses.
• An application for a permit to use a motor vehicle as a private service vehicle shall contain the following particulars, namely:--

• Type and seating capacity of the vehicle
• The area or the route or routes to which the application relates
• The manner in which it is claimed that the purpose of carrying persons

• One needs to provide the declaration to use the vehicle only for faring employees or laborers of a Company/Firm/Institute to ferry them to the place of business or back.
  
• Disproportionate asset case should not be pending against the vehicle for issue of permit.
