Apply In-Person:
- An individual (proprietorship) or a partnership firm or a registered private company shall start a Sculpture Manufacturing business.
- The applicant/entrepreneur should visit the respective sub-registrar office or the concerned tahsildar office as appropriate to find whether the area in which the company proposed to operate falls under industrial zone.

- Please visit the respective office as appropriate and meet the designated authority to enquire. If the area proposed comes under the industrial zone, the applicant shall proceed to start the company.
- Next, the applicant shall visit the respective district pollution control board office.

- Please visit the respective office and meet the designated authority to ensure that the area has any objections or reservation from the pollution control board for setting up of the sculpture manufacturing unit. If the area is not restricted, then please select a name for the company/firm.
- Please follow the “India - Register a Firm” procedure to get the respective company registered. Link for the procedure link in the given procedure, please find the appropriate provisions to register the company as per the class/type. Also, in the given page, the respective state name can be used to reach the respective state procedure.
- Once the firm is registered, the applicant will get memorandum of association and director identification number.
- Once the company is registered, please apply and obtain “GST Identification Number”.
- Please follow the “India - Register for Goods and Service Tax Identification Number (GSTIN)” procedure to get the “Goods and Service Tax Identification Number (GSTIN)”. Link for the procedure link In the given page, the respective state name can be used to reach the respective state procedure.
- The next step is to get “Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card”. Please follow the “India - How to Obtain a Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card” procedure to get the (company) “PAN”. - Next, the applicant should get trade licence from the local administration. Please follow the “India - Apply for Trade License” procedure to get the trade licence. Link for the procedure link In the given page, the respective state name can be used to reach the respective state procedure.
- Now it’s time to open a bank account for the business. Please open a bank account by visiting the respective bank of the applicant’s choice and follow their guidelines.
- Once the above steps are complete, the manufacturer should get the consent of the respective state pollution control board. Please approach the respective district pollution control board office.

- Please visit the respective office and meet the designated authority to consult about the applying procedure.
- Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used.
- Please complete the application form. Attach the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit it to the designated receiving authority in person.
- On receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the application details and documents.
- If all are in place, the application will be accepted and an acknowledgement slip with a serial number will be issued. Please keep it safe for future reference. The authority will also give a checklist (in printed format or handwritten) to be followed by the company to get the clearance.
- ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
- This application will be processed further. The department authorities (inspector) will inspect the premise to check the requirements and other arrangements. Once the inspection is complete, the inspection report will be sent to the department for further processing.
- Based on the report and recommendations, the issuing authority will sanction the application.
- The status, viz. Approval will be conveyed to the applicant through a “SMS”.
- Please follow the notification and guidelines of the department. The certificate or the order will be hand-delivered or delivered as per applicable norms.
- The whole process shall be completed within 15 to 30 days from the date of receipt of the application or as per the advised time period. Please refer our “Fees” section for fee details.
- Thus, the registration of the firm and other statutory requirements are obtained to start the business.
- The entire process may take up to 45 to 60 days.

Following are the common set of documents that are required
- Applicant’s proof of address (Ration card / Bank pass book / Telephone bill / Aadhaar card)
- Applicant’s proof of identity (Voter ID / Passport / Aadhaar card / Driving licence)
- PAN card
- Copy of bank passbook
- Passport size photograph (20 numbers for all the application procedures)
- Aadhaar card
- Payment proof of property taxes, fines, etc
- Proof of ownership (sale deed of the place of business or lease agreement as appropriate)
- The latest copy of electricity and water bills
- Self-declaration

Following are the set of documents that are required to get the clearance from the pollution control board, in addition to the common set of documents
- Covering letter
- FMB map of the proposed site
- Proof of ownership of the land (sale deed). If leased, then lease agreement
- Company ROC
- Authorization letter if an authorized person is applying along with the Aadhaar card
- Copy of property tax receipt
- NOC from the water board

Instructions
- The applicants are advised to check with the respective department for land category. The land should fall under industrial zone.
- The pollution control department reserves certain area to protect it from getting polluted for various reasons. So, please check whether the land falls under such category.
- Do not submit fake documents as a proof to get registered.
- Incomplete application will be rejected.
- Avoid spelling mistakes while filling the application form.

Need for the Document
- The registration of sculpture manufacturing business is a must. The business without proper registration will face legal consequences.
