Chad continues its open-door policy towards refugees
1.When an asylum seeker arrives in Chad, all he / she has to do is to report to the authorities of National Committee for the Reception of Refugees to register in order to be recognized as an authorized person to stay in the country. In this case, the asylum seek must submit application;
2.When application is submitted, the officials of the committee go through the submitted documents and thereafter the applicant is called upon for an interviews;
3.After the interview, committee decides on whether the applicant can stay in the country or not.
4.If an applicant is successful, he / she is issued with a rational card and on a later date the government issues a refugee identity card
5.After a given period of time, re-registration is carried out in camps. This is usually done to update the data base of refugees in the country.

Asylum is a legal title obtained by a foreign citizen in order to stay in another country for purposes of protection against eviction from home country. Eviction may be as a result of either war based on political, religious or tribal differences.To apply for asylum is to apply for that legal status. In Chad, issues of asylum seekers are handled by the government through the Commission Nationale d'Accueil, de Rinsertion des Rfugis et des Rapatris CNARR (the National Committee for the Reception of Refugees) under the Ministry of the Interior and the United Nations partnering organizations.
In the processes of registration, children are talked to in order to help registering officers clearly understand the structure of their family.
1.In the process of registration, information of applicants is recorded, verified and updated thus the authorities have a detailed data base for each approved applicant;
2.Approved seekers have a place to stay away from home as long as fear exists;
3.There is surety of security and protection to all approved asylum seekers;
