4. You may check your application status online using the Educator Page on the Commissions website to determine date received by the Commission and calculate the approximate processing time for your application by clicking this link.

Online recommendations submitted through credential program sponsors are usually processed within 10 working days. Typically, all other applications are processed within 50 working days from the date the application was received.

Once an individual completes all Credential Requirements for certification in California, he or she may apply for and receive a California teaching credential. If you cannot determine your credential type, you may call or email the Commission's Information Services, or your prospective employer for assistance.
