CALABARZON - Apply for School Accreditation by Bureau of Immigration

This procedure explains various ways to Apply for School Accreditation by Bureau of Immigration in CALABARZON.


A learning institution as a regular school or an English (ESL) school can accept foreign students, if it is granted license from Bureau of Immigration. The institution must apply for School Accreditation by Bureau of Immigration to get the license (clearance). To do it, please follow these steps:

  • Prepare the requirements:
    • BI FORM - School Accreditation - Form
    • Securitites and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration/Articles of Incorporation/By-Laws for a private institution, Or Charter for State Universities and Colleges;
    • Certificate of Accreditation issued by Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the CALABARZON (FAAP);
    • Commission on Higher Education (CHED)/Department of Education (DepEd)/Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) accredited courses and program;
    • Information Bulletin;
    • Faculty Profile; and
    • Pictures of buildings, laboratories and libraries.

  • Submit your application:
    • Visit the Bureau of Immigration Main Office googlemap link
    • If you did not fully understand about the required documents, you can get help from the Public Information and Assistance Unit (PIAU) at BI G/F Main Office.
    • You can submit the required documents for pre-screening to the Central Receiving Unit (CRU). Please follow all of officer’s guiding to fill out the application form and submit the required documents.
    • The Bureau shall conduct an inspection of the school/leaning institution and shall verify all credentials submitted thereof. Once the application is approved, pay the corresponding fees. This fee will depend on the institution is a regular school or an English (ESL) school.

  • Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registration/Articles of Incorporation/By-Laws for a private institution, Or Charter for State Universities and Colleges;
  • Certificate of Accreditation issued by Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).
  • Commission on Higher Education (CHED)/Department of Education (DepEd)/Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) accredited courses and program.
  • Information Bulletin.
  • Faculty Profile; and
  • Pictures of buildings, laboratories and libraries.


Note: Please have your documents arranged in the order as listed on the Checklist of Documentary Requirements and compiled in a legal size (8½ x 14 in.) folder. English (ESL) Schools:
