1. To apply for an independent fuel seller, the applicant will need to be appointed as a collector. Use the following contact Link

3. Fill in the application form with all the relevant details.
4. Attach copies of additional documents if required, find a list of documents under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Submit the application form to the mailing address mentioned under the “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page.
6. The applicant will not need to pay a fee to obtain a license.
7. Once the applicant submits the application to the relevant authorities, the application form will be reviewed and the applicant may be contacted for further information.
8. The applicant will receive a mail indicating if their fuel collector registration has been approved.
9. If the application form is approved, the applicant will receive two copies of a draft agreement.
10. The applicant may be required to submit an unconditional letter of credit from a recognized Canadian financial institution.
11. The applicant will have to sign both copies of the draft and the unconditional letter and send it back.
12. The applicant shall receive their license within a few weeks from the submission of the application.
