1. To Apply to Dispatch Firearms, the applicant has to approach the Federal Police Brazil – link
2. The applicant has to visit the office with the request letter.
3. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
5. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
6. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
10. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
11. If the application is approved, the applicant will receive authorization or permits for the dispatch of firearms.
12. These documents will outline the conditions and limitations of the dispatch, including the approved timeframe, destination, and any additional requirements.
13. When transporting firearms, ensure that the applicant complies with all the conditions and restrictions specified in the authorization or permits.
14. Safely secure the firearms during transportation, following the prescribed guidelines. It's also important to report any changes or deviations from the authorized dispatch to the relevant authorities.
15. This entire process can be completed within 15 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
