- To Apply to Accredit Certifiers in SISBOV, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further.
- They may conduct an assessment of the organization's capacity, systems, and processes to ensure that the applicant meets the accreditation requirements for certifying cattle in the SISBOV.
- If the application is approved, the applicant will be granted accreditation as a certifier in the SISBOV.
- This will authorize the organization to perform assessments and certifications in accordance with the SISBOV standards and guidelines.
- This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

- Experience and track record: Showcase the applicant’s experience in certifying and auditing similar programs or systems in the agricultural or livestock sector.
- Compliance records: Demonstrate compliance with relevant regulations and standards in the certification industry.

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply to accredit certifiers in SISBOV in Brazil, the following requirements must be met:
- Be a legal entity: The certifier must be a legal entity that is registered with the Brazilian government.
- Have experience in certification: The certifier must have experience in certifying agricultural products.
- Have the necessary infrastructure: The certifier must have the necessary infrastructure to conduct audits and to issue certificates.
- Be financially sound: The certifier must be financially sound and must be able to cover the costs of certification.
- Be impartial: The certifier must be impartial and must not have any financial or other interests that could conflict with its ability to provide objective certification services.
