1. To Apply for Private Investigator License, the applicant has to approach the Federal Police Brazil link
2. Before applying for a Private Investigator License, the applicant must complete a training program approved by the Federal Police Department.
3. This training program typically covers topics such as surveillance techniques, interviewing skills, and legal and ethical issues.
4. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
5. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
6. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
7. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
8. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
9. As part of the application process, the Federal Police Department will conduct a thorough background check to ensure that the applicant meet the eligibility requirements and have not been involved in any criminal activity.
10. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
11. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
12. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
13. If the application is approved and the applicant has passed the background check, the applicant will be issued a Private Investigator License by the Federal Police Department.
14. This license will allow the applicant to work as a private investigator in Brazil.
15. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 20 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
