Apply In Person:

1. To Search and Certify a motor vehicle details thye request shall be made to the nearest Department of Road Transport and Safety Offices (DRTS) offices are located across the country. DRTS Regional Offices Location and Contacts
2. Applicant will be required to preresnt an orginal copy of their identification document and the vehicle logbook (if available) where the applicant is not in possession ao the logbook he/she will be required to furnish the licesing officer at the DRTS Vehicle Registration and licensing section, with such information;
   • The registration number of the motor vehicle.
   • Current car owner details
   • Reason for the request
   • Contact Details of the applicant/car owner. Etc
3. The licensing officer shall then proceed and do a search on the DRT data base, and upon a successful search the licensing officer will be able to provide/serach the following details with the applicant i.e;
   • Full names of the car owner.
   • The make and manufacturer of the vehicle.
   • Body type and color of the vehicle.
   • Engine power capacity.
   • The registered logbook number.
   • Registered chassis number.
   • Registered Engine number.

• Valid identification document (ID card for citizen / passport for foreigners)
• vehicle registration booklet (logbook)
