How to Apply

1. The request is made at the Ministry of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services Department of Water and Sanitation (Headquarters) office or nearest branch office {view address and contact details below}.
2. Visit the nearest Department of Water and Sanitation offices and express your interest at the front desk, you will then be issued with sample collection bottles and instructions on how to collect the water sample.
3. Collect the Request form from the Department office’s or use this link to download Link
4. Submit the completed form and the samples to the Department of Water and Sanitation offices, Water Quality Laboratory for testing and analysis.
5. The laboratory technician/staff will then verify the form, if all the information are in order he/she will advise you to make payment of the required analysing test fee.
6. Proceed and make payment at the department cash counter/office and obtain an acknowledgment receipt.
7. The result of the analysis will be ready for withdrawal by the applicant within 5 and 10 working days for Microbiology analysis and Chemical analysis respectively, against the applicant identification document and acknowledgment slip, if in person or the results can also be send to the applicant via e-mail or post, as per the applicant request.
8. If you require the result to be explained to you, please contact/request the laboratory technician to do so, you also be provided with advice on national water standards based as per your preference.

Microbiology Full Pack cost is 240 (BWP)
Microbiology Full Pack include the following; {Faecal coliform, E.coli, Total coliform, Intestinal enterococcus}

Chemical Analysis of Waste Water-Full Pack cost is 200 (BWP)
Chemical Analysis of Waste Water-Full Pack include the following ;{ Total Suspended Solids, Dissolved oxygen, Biochemical Oxygen Demand, Chemical Oxygen Demand.

• Individual Analyte (drinking water) cost is 15 (BWP)
• Individual Analyte (Microbiology) cost is 60 (BWP)
• Individual Analyte (Wastewater) cost is 50 (BWP)
