- All members of the public are encouraged to report to the police any Road Accident. If you have been the victim of a road traffic accident or have witnessed the incident or would simply like to tell police that an accident has occurred. Botswana Police Service Contact details.
- There are several other ways to also report a road accident;
- Emergency Tool-free number; Dial 999 (for police), Dial 911(for Ambulance/ medical rescue) Dial 998(for fire brigade)
- Contact the nearest police station in person or stop a police officer on patrol.
- Dial the landline for your local police station.
- The following information should be provided when reporting a road traffic accident:
- The exact location of the accident
- Any injuries at the scene
- Number of vehicles involved
- If other services are required such as the fire brigade and medical assistance
- The caller’s particulars (i.e. names and addresses)
- All emergency responders will be dispatched to the location, where the incident has occurred to offer assistance to the victims immediately.
- The police officers at the scene will investigate how the accident occurred by questioning individuals that were involved in the accident and witnesses to the accident and record their accounts for further investigation.
