Apply In-Person

1. To apply for renewal Firearm and Ammunition Dealers Permit/license, you should submit your completed application file to the Licensing office at the police station in the parish, where the firearm and ammunition dealer business/company is located. (View address details mentioned under ‘office location and contacts’ section below).
2. Collect the Application For Arms and Ammunition dealer's licence renewal form, available at service inquired desk at any police station located countrywide or use this link to download, Link
3. Submit the duly completed forms, along with the relevant attachments (mentioned below under the ‘Required Documents’ section), to the licensing office, at the police station nearest to the business residence for processing, approval and consideration, applicants will then be issued with an acknowledgement letter containing details of the application.
4. On receipt of the application file, the licensing officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided, the licensing officer will then conduct a due diligence and decide if to approve or deny the permit request.
5. If the licensing officer is satisfied that all the conditions as set for the application have being meet and that the holder of the license has not violated any regulation as specified on the license, he/she will approved the renewal processing of the permit by signing and stamping the application form and then forward the file to the police commissioner for further assessment and processing.
6. Upon receipt of the application file, the police commissioner will review the file and, as soon as practicable, forward the application file, together with his/her recommendation thereon; to the ministry office for final decision making by the minister or authorized official
7. If approved, the renewed permit will be drawn up, signed, and stamped by the licensing officer, once notified of the approval by the ministry office.
8. The permit/license will then be made available for withdrawal by the applicant at the specific licensing office, where the application was lodged, upon payment of the permit renewal fee and against the applicant identification document and the acknowledgement letter.
