Apply In Person:

1. An application for renewal of a dealer plate license shall be made to the Department of Road Transport and Safety (DRTS) office, ideally one months before expiriation of the current license. DRTS Contact Details
2. The application shall be made in writing using a prescribed, Application for Number Plate Manufacturer/Suppliers Licence Form (Grant/Renewal), obtainable at the DRTS ofices, or directly download it via this Application for Number Plate Manufacturer/Suppliers Licence Form (Grant/Renewal)
3. Upon obtaining the application form, the applicant should legibly complete the form, attach all the supporting documentation as listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page and submit the complete application file to the DRTS regional office, licensing and registration Section for consideration. Any omission of the required documents or information will render the application process incomplete.
4. Applicants will then be issued with an invoice for payment of the license fee of BWP 845.00 that is to be paid.
5. After the successful screening of the submitted documents, Where the licensing officer is satisfied that the applicant has complied with all the requirements as may be applicable; and has continue demonstrating a capacity to meet the obligations and compliance requirements he shall draw up the license and certify it before issuing it to the applicant immediately.
