Apply In-Person:

1. One should conduct and visit any Department of Water Affairs (DWA) offices countrywide for consultation and file the application with the department
2. Application form,( form GS 184 ) can be obtained from the above offices, or click the link below to download Assets
3. The application form should be filled by the driller accurately, a sample material should be accompanied by the form and submitted for processing and verification
4. If the DWA officer is satisfied that the site (area) is suitable for the drilling of the borehole.
5. Information obtained from the from GS 184 will be registered into the register book and you will be allocated a borehole registration number and issued with a borehole registration certificate

• Accurately filled application form GS 184 filled by the driller
• Chip samples form the site (soil/rock)
• Signing of the chip samples submission form
• Land rights certificate from land board
